Celebrating our April winner of Teacher Proud Tuesday!

Happy Teacher Proud Tuesday, Eagle Nation! Please help us recognize our April winner: Deborah Brill from McKinley Elementary.


  
Ms. Brill teaches 4th grade, and received nominations from parents and staff for this award. They noted the way her students love being in her classroom due to the kindness she sprinkles around like confetti! Here's a little bit of what they had to say about her skill and expertise:

"She's a teacher you look up to, a teacher that's fun but respected, who learns what the children need to help them succeed in their future. She takes the time and listens to their wants and feelings, she honors the kids for being kids for who they are as a person and what kind of person they could be. My daughter is a better child, a better person, a better human being because of Ms. Brill. Her kindness is never fleeting. As a parent, I'm grateful that my daughter and her have crossed paths! She's definitely a teacher to remember forever!"

"I've seen the way the kids interact with Ms. Brill and they all really love her. She makes learning fun with her bright and colorful room, and she has a personality that not only teaches the kids their general subjects, but also teaches kindness, and makes all the kids feel seen and heard. What makes a good teacher is the willingness to teach but to also always be learning themselves. And Mrs. Brill goes above and beyond."
